This is a practice tool, not a card room. Everything on this page uses play money only — in fact, it uses no money at all. There are no chips to buy, no balance to top up, no deposits, no withdrawals, and nothing of monetary value can be won here. The score and streak counters reset when you reload the page. The purpose is educational: to let you drill the mechanical skills of poker — reading a five-card hand correctly, recognising when a flop has helped you, and estimating your chances — away from any stakes at all.
Those skills are worth separating out because they are the part of poker that is purely knowledge. Whether a hand is a flush or a straight is not a judgement call; it is a fact you either read quickly or you don't. Beginners lose a surprising amount of ground simply by misreading the board, and that is a fixable problem.
Five cards are dealt face up and you name the hand from ten buttons. It sounds trivial until you are doing it under a streak counter. The traps are consistent: a board with three of one suit and two of another is not a flush; a run of four consecutive ranks is not a straight; and two pair plus a third pair is still just two pair, using the highest two. Work here until the answer arrives before you have finished counting.
You get two hole cards and a three-card flop, and you choose to fold, check/call, or raise. The trainer evaluates your made hand and tells you how your choice compares. Treat this as a conversation about hand strength rather than a test with one right answer — real decisions also depend on opponents and position, which a single-player drill cannot model.
This runs a Monte Carlo simulation — 500 random deals of the remaining cards against one random opponent hand — and reports how often you came out ahead. Because it is a simulation rather than an exact enumeration, the number wobbles by a percentage point or two between runs. That wobble is honest: it shows you the shape of the answer rather than false precision.
